    Default HP on yellowfin

Has anyone out there ever put more than 400hp on the back of a 23 Yellowfin. Im looking at a pair of 250xs and was just curious if anyone has ever tried a similar combination.

You can not exceed the Maximum HP plackard. If the Max is 400 and you go above that then you could face fines from the USCG.

Take the placard off and run it like you stole it.

Insurance will be an issue. In the old days they would insure a boat with a certian % over the mfg rating but I don't know about now.

I could be wrong but I don't think they'll do that anymore. It'll prob. depend on insurer. If you find one that does let me know! you'd have to convince the YF team to build one with hp over the max first.
