After thinking about this boat since the day it came out, we finally bought one. It's a 2009 with triple Yamaha 350's.

congrats, im just waitong to sell my 36 to order one, can you post some real number of the crusing speed and top end, whit those engines because i havent seen those numbers post in a 42 whit tower, thanks. happy fishing.

chanokkk, real numbers will have to wait. boat is still at the yf factory. hopefully soon i can get you some real info. from the survey, i got:
3700, 35 mph, 35 gph
4300, 43 mph, 45 gph
5100, 53 mph, 72 gph

and due to miscommunication, they didnt get me top speed. i seatrialed a brand new one at factory. it was light (i think it only had 100 gallons of fuel), 4 people, no electronics, no tower. that boat hit 66 mph at 6100 rpms on my phone gps.

thanks, im just waiting one of two options, sell my 36 or leave my wife to order one, here in the yucatan peninsula i fish alot whit the boat anchored, how steady your 42 feels whit that tower?

can you tell us more about your boat roadking? what are you trading it in for? how long have you had it? like/dislikes? anything to watch out for? the 42 forum seems pretty dead. wouldn't mind hearing more about it.
