Maybe pics and Bio of the crew that make Yellowfin what it is.
Hi we have rebuilt the website to standards and I would like to expand the content. I would really appreciate some input on what people would like to see on the site ie. pics info options. We are still compiling content for some of the pages for slide shows that run on the main pages for the models I'm looking for what people want over and above the slide show content
Thanks Ric
Maybe pics and Bio of the crew that make Yellowfin what it is.
Pics/bios would definitely be cool.
An "About US" section would be a nice compliment to that. Talking about the history of the company, etc. etc.
The slideshows are cool, but at the same time it would be nice to just have a gallery to click through. Not so much on the main page of each boat model, but in the options section it's easy to get bored looking at pictures of options I wouldn't want while waiting for the pictures of options I would want to come up. A thumbnail gallery with captions might help.
Maybe in the About Us or maybe in a new Factory News heading there could be pictures of boats in progress and updates. I know a lot of people ask for pictures of their boats in progress and this section could satisfy their needs. That way current owners, people with builds in progress, and prospective customers can all see an aggregated group of pictures of the factory and construction process and learn a lot about availabe options and different ways to do things since every boat that goes out the door is unique.
An Events section would be cool as well. Info and pictures of the Owner's Event in Hawk's Cay could be included as well as info and pictures from the boat shows and SKA tournaments that Yellowfin sponsors.
would like to see some performance figures for the 39. just ordered one. Also, when is the Hawks Cay gathering in 2011? thanks
Options. I just ordered my 3rd Yellowfin and everytime I get a new boat, I see one with an option that I didn't know about. Also, the music is nice but if you spend alot of time on the site it starts to get on your nerves. I find myself closing the site just to get rid of the music.
Ill have to agree with the music. I guess that it was a mute buttom is for thoguh.
Better pics for those of us who can not afford a YF to gawk at
The music is only on the index page in the new site as soon as you click a model number on the nav bar no more music. I am working on an old school gallery now I also like to click on Thumbnails and see huge pics The caption Idea is great I will add that to the project the beta site is on my test server at http://www.thisisyoursite.com/yellowfin/ none of the galleries are up but the new cleaner quieter site is. Thanks for the input when you are right on top of a project it is hard to see from someone else's point of view.
Ric
Just another note. I really like SeaVee's site and how it's laid out. Easy to navigate but shows everything I would want to see about the boats.SeaVee Boats
The new Guides page is awesome by the way. It's nice to be able to just scroll over the dots and see who it is and what they run.
