I am looking at this boat as a possible 50% Freshwater multi-species midwest boat and 50% saltwater (Within 5 miles of shore). What is your opinion on that application? How is your cruise economy (GPH/MPH)?

Thank you so much for that feedback. Instead of having both fresh and salt water boats, I believe this will be the foundation of a true Fresh/Salt water multi-species boat. Would rather have the cost of one boat (insurance, storage, etc) than two boats and the 21 seems to fit the bill.

I am considering the new 300 Yamaha for power as the 350 Verado seems like an expensive overkill and too heavy if I can add that 9.9 HP Kicker. Do you think there is room to place a 9.9 kicker motor on the back? Would love to have a Power pole, Ladder / platform, and 9.9 kicker for freshwater multi-pecies use

I fish on some Midwest lakes that limit HP to 10 or less. Something where I can drop the motor on only when needed would be ideal. What do you think this boat would do with the 350 Verado? How does it handle nearshore waters?
