Default 350 Verado with Knock Sensor & Longer Warranty

Is anyone else out there hearing buzz about the mainstreaming of the 350 verado into the regular line-up to include a knock sensor and longer warranty like that of the 300?

Interesting - have you tried Verado Club? That place is a treasure trove of info and I'm thinking about paying the membership fee just for research options as a non-owner.

Problem is, even if true, that engine requires 92 octane. That's hard to find in my neck of the woods.

The engine currently requires 91 octane. The addition of a knock sensor would allow the running of 87 (like the 300 verados) or 89 octane gas depending on how Merc would set it up with little to no loss in hp or performance, allowing for refueling in the out islands of the bahamas where you never know what octane you're really getting.

I just went through the Verado club website and did not see anything that mentioned the upgrade with the knock sensor. It would be nice!
