Nice
Keep pics coming.
Howdy,
I'm new to the forum and happy to share a look at my first yellowfin. 2017 24 Carbon Elite in White and Sea Foam. I'd be interested in hearing anyone's ideas, suggestions, or questions and I'll continue to post through the build and so on.
Cheers
Nice
Keep pics coming.
Looking good
Thanks gents,
As you know or can imagine, the excitement is really starting to set in.
I really like your build rippenlips. It looks like a sight fishing dream set up.
Was your build greatly influenced by the height restriction of the garage storage and/or was the elevated casting deck just a must have for you?
Nice
Can u list of your build details ?
Thx
My build had a little to do with height restrictions / length of my garage set up. My garage was build to fit the 21 hybrid which i ran for 3 years. One thing I was nerviness about is a true measurement with the angle to my drive way and console height.
I did have them cut my console down 1" just to make sure it would / clear the leading edge as well as not install the standard windshield .
The platforms can be installed in matter if mins when i want to use them. Been a great tool for the fishing I like to do around FL as well as LA marsh.
If you have any other questions please let me know. After running mine a few time my dad has one on order now as well but will have a tower. Expected delivery March / April 2017 pic and built to come.
Hi Bellazoe
Off the top of my head, the build list goes like this.
24 CE White with grey logos to match the cold fusion white Mercury 350 (not 400 for warranty)
Sea Foam Green in all the hatches and wells and under the half top with second station. (Sled backrest SS)
The cushions (including forward casting deck and step up) are all in sea foam with dark grey quilted stitching.
Delete mid ship cleet (easier not to trip on gunwale and tower is right there to tie off)
Matte white powder coat throughout (very excited for this)
White Rub Rail
Grey stomp pad on console
Simrad:
nss 16 and nss 12 for second station.
4g radar
Autopilot
Structure scan
Weather
WiFi
Sirius
Does anyone think I need CHIRP?
ACR Spot Light
VHF mounted inside the console
Twin 10' white power poles (no pun intended)
White MinnKota Ulterra
Fresh Water Wash down
Lights in every hatch and well
Shadowcaster underwater lights
Outriggers
Optional Rod Holders:
Two in the Bow for live baits
Four in the gunwales for outriggers (two cup holder style)
Two Cup Holder style in the forward console
Five on tower, the center one in center rigger fashion.
Three on leaning post with two cup holders (will this be too crowded?)
Three on fold down bench seat backrest
That's all the major items I can currently recall.
This is going to be an all round fishing and fun platform for Florida and Texas Gulf Coast. From trolling offshore to casting inshore and anywhere in between. I can't imagine a more functional, better looking or more well constructed machine.
Also,
One azimut 1000 digital compass. Just for the hell of it.
Might reconsider the midship cleats. They really make life a bunch easier, and never had any trouble tripping on them so long as they're down. Also, not sure if it's feasible on your set up, but I might consider a Rigid LED Bar as opposed to the ARC. More expensive for sure, but chances are it last a lot longer. And from my experience, the ARC control doesn't move the light fast enough to make it worth having a remote control light over a fixed bar. And the LED Bar provides much more light.
Also, would consider having Saltwater Washdown, in addition to the FreshWater. You can actually tie the two together from the same intake and pump, and just have a simple Y-valve switching from one to the other.
