I currently have a 2009 with twin F350's.... If I decide to re-power versus buying the extended warranty has anyone seen the difference in preformance of these two motors???

Can a 32 hold three F300's???? Basically the same weight...

I've haven't heard any numbers from a 32' with F300's yet so I'll be interested to hear the answer as well.

I will say though that I asked Wylie when I was ordering my 32' and he said that they would never build another 32' with triples after the XS-Rated 2.

How about the performance with Twin F300's? Looking to purchase a 32 once my 3500 VX Hydra-Sports sells.

Every other boat manufacturer that I have seen the difference in top speed is usually about 5mph.

There was a post on THT that I think had top speed of 60mph with twin f300s. I have heard 65-68 with f350s (what I ordered). Looks to me from other Yam perf bulletins like MPG is about 3-5% lower at same cruise speed with f350s

I would be really surprised if the fuel economy would be better with F350s... Just doesnt make any sense... In perfect conditions the fastest I have had my boat was at 64 mph... the speed really increases based on the amount of fuel I have and total weight on board... I wouldnt be surprised if the f300 would make the boat faster because your talking about a huge reduction in weight...

I would be surprised if the lighter F300's would be faster than the heavier F350's as the entire YF Line runs very flat/level and more a$$ weight usually equates to more bow lift, less wetted surface, and ultimately more speed in these boats...

fuel economy is not better with 350s - its 3-5% worse. Here is a good comp (edgewater 318cc)

5 mph top end. Fuel economy pretty close in the mid 40mph range - way better for f300 at lower speeds....

First of all thanks for everybody that can by our booth at last weekend's boat show I saw many tidal fish members. It was a great show for Capt Max King’s Marine. Today was the first time we put our new inventory 32 Yellowfin in the water. A lot of people ask at the show about the performance numbers. I really don’t like quoting the other guy’s numbers. Today was my chance to see the numbers myself we had 125 gallons of fuel and minimum of three guys per sea trail. Every sea trail we saw the cruise speed of close to 40mph at 1.8mpg to 1.9mpg. WOT for no more than 2 minutes we reach speed of over 62mph. We had several customers comment best riding CC they been on. It beautiful day with temperatures in the 70’s with good strong SW breeze it was great day to ride on boats not work on boats. Thanks for all that took rides today!!
