Any one had any luck with a different brand of props? Seems like this setup could use 4 blades. Boat has 23 SWS and it is all over the rev limiters and will not take much trim. Thought I might try 25" but I am sure it would make the boat really sluggish out of the hole...any suggestions? Thanks

If anyone has done prop work or ran this boat with f350's with anything other than the 23 yamaha wheels please let me know. I am going to call yellowfin on monday and see if they have any suggestions. I have only ran my boat for two hours but I have talked to several people who have said that prop work will bring this setup to it's full potential. Thanks

I may have a set 24 four blades you can try there from turbo prop I have a 34 and there to much prop for my boat
What state are you in I'm running 21 on a 34 and love them
I also have 22 four blades I was going to try but I thinking of sending them back and getting 20"s

crunch, can you shoot me an email so I can get your address. I am interested to hear how your boat runs and how the different wheels you tried performed for you.
my email is mbmcdermott18@cableone.net

I have tried 4 blade powertech and 21 SWS and 23sws. Cupping the 23 SWS a little had the best results for me. Boat still a little slow out of the hole.

what did the powertechs do for you as well

You know it was so cold the day I went with the powertechs I looked at rpms and speed.. no fuel #s. It seems like the powertechs were 1 mph faster at 4000 and at wot 6000 rpms 62mph. I did not like the lift in rougher water with 4 blades.. Cupping the 3 blades a little and balancing brought me down from 6200 trimmed to 6000 and picked up 2-3 mph. Boat runs 43 mph at 4000 and 65mph at 6000. I dont like how slow it is coming out of the hole with any props. The Verado boat kills it with acceleration. I know you would like to see fuel burn but I was not looking close enough at that. Hope this helps.

Yeah the stern lift with the four blades was a question I had too because the boat runs so level already without any tab seemed like you would be putting too much boat in the water. Who did your prop work? I am toying with the idea of getting some work done but may just wait a while and see if more wheels become available. Does your boat chine walk bad? once I get mine over sixty she starts walkin pretty good on me.

No mine does not chine walk at all..mine is a 32 though. I have never been in a YF that chine walked. I did have regulator that would throw your azz out if you were not careful. :o Performance Prop in Soddy Daisy Tenn. If I had to do it again I think I would get 21 p 3 blades and have a little pitch and cup added to get the extra diameter...

I am running a 32 as well. I ran the boat full of fuel this past weekend and it was straight as an arrow but when I first ran the boat she had very little fuel less than 50 gallons and wanted to walk once you got above 61.

If you can get the bow up it does not chine walk but with the bow down it will start to nose steer or plow around 60 in my experience.
