Just out of curiosity can u put quad 350 yammies on a 36 or trip 350 yamies on a 34? Just seems like you never see these setups. Can they be done?
thanks

Too heavy for quad F350s on 36 and trip F350s on 34. Wylie won't do it, but he will hang quad 350sci's on 36 and trip 350sci's on 34.

I spoke to Wylie a while back and asked him what he thought quad 350sci's would do - he said mid 80's but also added he would rather have his trip boat in rough conditions any day of the week. Maybe he will chime in on this...personally he's seen 75 to 76 on a trip 350sci boat so i'm thinking it might not be worth the added aggravation and service costs of a 4th motor, not to mention the lack of room getting in and out of the transom for diving.

Could you expect the same preformance with trip yammies if you propped it out right and with trim?

Why would he rather have trips in rough water?

Why would he rather have trips in rough water?

Balance would be my guess. When the boat gets air with quads when its rough it might not fly flat.

that and a lot more barking with 20" shafts mounted even further outboard on the transom...not much room on that transom with only a 10ft beam (probably narrower than that at the transom but haven't actually measured) makes it tough to get clean water to the outside motors all the time when haulin ace on a quad boat.
