I know that just about everyone on here runs the 4 stroke yam or the vrods . I still like the xs's for the horsepower to weight ratio. Mercury just came out with a new prop for the xs called the bravo 1 xs I saw it on the mercury racing web sight it is supposed to be available now . Just wondering if anyone else has had a chanc to run one yet . I have been running a bunch of props lately and it seems that the four blades are carrying the load the best .

i would think a 24 would be pretty close for your 300xs. a stock 23 rev4 would turn up to 6150 with my 300opti

the bravo XS is essentially a regular bravo with a tube cut. i ran a bravo that had been labbed, cut, cupped, the works on my 350sci 24 and it didnt perform worth a crap. it is however smokin on the 250sho 21' boat. its running as fast as the 300xs...

That 21 is why I asked! Makes my 24 look slow!

I had a 24 bravo xs on my bay boat with the xs motor and it was by far th best prop I ran. It really held the bow up which was a problem with that motor. To light of motor weight but when it was rough you would have to tuck the motor way in to get the bow to stay down but the boat was fastest with that prop when the boat was fully loaded

MDG,
That 300 XS motor can spin it hard. As you play with it, look into a reworked Bravo XS - Mark Croxton ia a prop guru that B&Bs these props, Fury's etc. and will also add 4 more 1" vent holes that will allow the hole shot you want with the 3.2 Stroker and still turn a big pitch around WOT where your motor makes peak HP.
