I just purchased a previously owned 2009 32 - this is my first Yellowfin. Before calling the factory I thought I would try to get some info from this forum.

The saltwater washdown has very little pressure - only a weak flow from the nozzle. The seacock is fully open and the fitting where the hose attaches appears to be fully open as well. I removed the hose and nozzle and the flow directly from the boat fitting is equally weak. The pump sounds like it is working as it should. Any suggestions?

Also, the mascerator pump appears to be pumping slowly. The pump sounds like it is working as it should. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

how many times have you tried the washdown? my pumps will catch air sometimes and that will happen.

The pump out of the fishbox is a diaphragm pump and isn't as quick as a macerator but will never clog like the macerators do.

I dont like the diaphram pumps on the fish boxes, they seem to take forever to empty. Try replacing your washdown pump with a stronger one maybe.

Try to pop the top off of the baitwell pump that the saltwater washdown feeds from and take your hose from your house and back flush the line . On the bigger boats before they built the screen for the bottom of the boat we used to pick up grass here in the n gulf . with the newer pick up design we havent had that problem any more just give it a try and see if it works

Also try jamming a strong hose right up against the fixbox drain. Run the macerator pump while forcing the water in like this. That usually clears mine so that it drains quickly.

Thanks for the suggestions - I'll try all of them next time I get to the boat.
