Trips best if you do long range.

I would agree that trips might be better for long range if you loss an engine but I carry 400+ gallons of fuel and with my dual F350's I have amazing range. (44knts@4900RPM@34GPH).

How well does a 34 run with twin 300 verados compared to 275 verados?

I have the 275 verados on my 34. I don't think it is propped right as I can only get about 5500 on my 3 blade and top speed of about 52 mph. It will plane on one, however.

I have a 34 with trip F250s and run 60 fully loaded. Fastest I've seen in the ocean so far was 63.7 light. Mirage 23"s. Cruise 37mph at 1.4-1.7. The boat planes on 2 engines but struggles if the load is heavy. I have run 275 and 300 Verados on the 36 many times and they are very impressive. Have yet to run them on a 34. Good luck with your decision.
